Our 2013 Nantucket wedding season starts in just 2 weeks, with FOUR weddings that weekend between Mark, Brian, and myself. We have nearly every weekend from June through September all booked up, and dozens of portraits. In the meantime, we're all just itching to photograph something. Luckily, it's finally nice out on the island, so Mark and I are slowly catching up on our own family portraits. We have millions of the girls, but it's time we got in front of the camera as well or the kids won't believe we were ever this young (and handsome). ~ Enjoy, Z

Yesterday, I had the privilege of witnessing and documenting the wedding proposal of two of my dearest friends. Their little ones were there to see Carl ask Sarah to marry him, and they couldn't have been happier. To say that they were excited, is a huge understatement. Their reactions were absolutely priceless and precious. Brant Point Lighthouse is a special place for Sarah in particular, because it was basically her grandparents' backyard when she was growing up.

We're getting psyched up for our 2013 wedding and portrait season. We have past brides coming back who are expecting, and couples with their new families whom we can't wait to meet. We also have weddings at fun locations like the Oldest House of Nantucket. Engagement Sessions start this month, and then we go head first into weddings come June 1st with 9 weddings that month. Insane, but we love it.

Family portraits are pretty special, especially when done on a regular basis to chronical those little changes year to year. Kids change so fast! Our clients live on Nantucket year round or just summers, or are even lucky enough to be able to visit once in a while. We see many of the same face every year and love watching the little ones grow.
