We just put together this delicious board of some of our favorite wedding cakes by Jodi's Cakes for one of our August brides. Jodi has some crazy talent and is well known for her Nantucket lightship basket cakes, and red velvet grooms cakes shaped as whales.

John met Alexis while depositing his paycheck at a local bank back in 2005. Glances were exchanged, a lunch date was made and before you knew it, Alexis & John were an Item!

Courtney and Chad were married Saturday at the 'Sconset Chapel with their reception following at the Nantucket Golf Club. They had an absolutely beautiful day and a big, fun, yet elegant wedding.

Meaghan and Ryan were married Saturday in an outdoor ceremony at the Westmoor Club. These two crazy kids have been together since high school, for 11 years and they still are so sweet together.

After a lobster dinner and s'mores bonfire the night before at The Wauwinet, David and Ashley were married on the harbor at The White Elephant Hotel on Friday.

Jean, a fashion blogger and John, a sports writer, joined their families in an intimate wedding at the White Elephant last week. They came up from Dallas to celebrate their union with their closest friends and family, including Jean's 2 boys and John's 2 girls and son Cameron - his best man. Jean's 3 sisters were also in attendance. As John put it perfectly, quoting Mr Big in Sex in the City - "You're the loves of her life, and a guy would be lucky to come in fourth."

Erica's grandmother began the tradition of summering on Nantucket back in the 60s. Her family has been vacationing here ever since. She and Chris were married at Brant Point Lighthouse on Tuesday afternoon in front of their nearest and dearest. With only 13 guests, the day was very intimate and relaxed. After the ceremony, we all hopped on the Wauwinet Lady and crossed the harbor to The Wauwinet.

Tracy and Jay met on Nantucket 5 years ago through mutual friends who had no idea they were from the same hometown in Connecticut! They both grew up summering on island. Tracy's family has deep roots on Nantucket, as they been vacationing here for over 110 years! Both families spent the entire week prior to the wedding enjoying the beach and getting to know each other to prep for the big event this past Saturday.

It was one of those days on Nantucket when the weather was a little unsure of what it wants to do. We get them often this time of year. A little sun, a little cloud, a little wind…everything but rain and snow, thankfully!

Jaclyn and Peter met while working together at Deutsche Bank and without getting too mushy about it, they fell in love. Since his brother has a house here, and he's been vacationing for 10 years, Peter also bought a house on Nantucket a couple years ago where the couple loves to visit. He proposed to Jackie here on island at Madaket Beach last fall. After meeting and photographing Jaclyn and Peter's engagement session last month (seen here), I just knew they would have a fun wedding and look completely amazing. I underestimated them!
