Joe and Eden’s wedding was the perfect finale to our 2014 wedding season. Brian has been close with Eden’s family for years and there were no shortage of familiar faces. The friendly guests and beautiful candle lit settings made for an amazing night.
The couple’s story started in Boston, and grew spending summers on the island, eventually leading to a harrowing boat trip to Great Point, ending with Joe asking Eden to marry him. They kept the nautical island theme for their big day; Eden carrying a custom Lightship basket while her bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses and pearls. Joe was sporting a sharp grey suit and ivory whale tie clip, and his groomsmen sported trendy Kiel James Patrick ties and cufflinks.
The weather cooperated, but because of short daylight hours during late Autumn on island, by the time their vows at the First Congregational Church concluded, it was completely dark. Eden and Joe embraced this and planned ahead, making a candle lighting part of their ceremony. Then followed a candlelit procession down the street to the Nantucket Yacht Club, which was lead by a trumpeter playing “When the Saints Go Marching In”.
The Nantucket Yacht Club was also decorated with candles creating beautiful setting for a night of fun and dancing. Joe and Eden’s first dance together was an obvious highlight, as the couple stunned their guests with an incredibly well executed first dance to Michael Bublé’s “Feeling Good”. Eden and her sister also performed a memorable duet in their secret childhood language.
We had a great time sharing in this special day with Joe and Eden and wish them only the best!
