What do us locals do over the winter on Nantucket? We vacation on hot islands and we bring our friends. Last week in Hope Town, a little island part of the Abacos on Elbow Cay in the Bahamas, we did just that. At the end of our relaxing vacation, I took David and Donald away for a quick engagement session. We climbed on dried coral, cut up our feet on nettles and what felt like barbed wire and bashed our toes on coconuts, all for that one amazing spot hidden away in Tahiti Beach where the waves splash against the land and palm trees decorate a lush patch of grass.
David, an incredible event planner who owns David M. Handy Events, and Donald, an equally incredible actor/singer/entertainer who is the director of theater operations at The Nantucket Dreamland Foundation, are getting married at the Nantucket Whaling Museum in June. Their wedding will be the party of the century. Look out!
