It was a blustery day when I took Heather & Andrew out for a chilly Nantucket engagement photo session in April but thankfully, the weather gods shone down on them as they tied the knot on the beach last week! Heather was as radiant as the sunshine in her Domo Adami dress, as her 2 daughters walked her down the aisle to her waiting groom, Andrew.
The Galley is a magical place to be married, just a stones throw away from the beach where the waves of Nantucket sound lap gently on the shore. You might get a beautiful sunset too, as long as the fog doesn’t roll in as it did during their wedding! But what’s Nantucket without a little fog, right?
I scooped up Heather & Andrew for a quick photo op around the corner before heading back for dinner and dancing. During dinner, white peonies and orchids, roses and hydrangeas, with an accent of pink to match the bridesmaids dresses, adorned the tables with individual bottles of bubbly for each guest. As the sun disappeared and the fog rolled in, kids, friends and family danced the night away on the beach to DJ Billy Voss.
What a perfect day for a wedding, and a perfect couple to boot!
