It’s hard to know where to start describing Tim and Dina’s wedding this past weekend. There were so many nice remarks about the couple over the course of the day, that its hard to doubt they were genuine. Near the end of the reception, Tim and Dina addressed their guests and thanked them for coming. Tim went into detail about how his life had changed on the day he met Dina. A stylist at a salon played matchmaker and set them up on a date, his remarks were so touching Dina could only wipe away tears and respond with a heartfelt, “Ditto.”
Dina’s father wore specially made socks for the day, embroidered with “Special Socks 9.12.15” on one foot, and “For a Special Walk” on the other. Dina’s mother’s engagement stones were made into a necklace for Dina, along with a pearl bracelet from her grandmother.
The couple invited their closest friends and family to Nantucket for an extended weekend, centered around town and the White Elephant. The night before their wedding, the couple hosted a farm to table dinner at Bartlett Farms, enjoying a family style, locally sourced meal, with everyone sitting around one large table. Their wedding ceremony took place on the back lawn of the White Elephant, with floral details provided by Soiree Floral, a cake by Nantucket Bake Shop, and great music by the Mark Greel Band (of Perry Rossi Orchestras). The band intermixed Frank Sinatra songs with upbeat covers of songs like “Poison” by Bell Biv Devoe and kept the couple and their guests dancing all night. By the end of the night, it was obvious just how happy everyone at the event was for the couple, and I don’t think Dina or Tim stopped smiling the entire night!
Best wishes to the couple!
