Shevaun & Blair held an intimate ceremony this fall at the historic Greater Light on Nantucket. A unique summer retreat that was converted from an animal barn in 1920’s by the Monaghan sisters. It’s quite unlike any house on Island, (more about it here). The couple brought their closest relatives to hear them exchange their handwritten vows. After some quick family portraits on the grounds, we took to the streets of downtown Nantucket for portraits of the couple. Shevaun wore a gorgeous BHLDN dress and carried a magnificent bouquet by Flowers on Chestnut.
Dinner was hosted at The Proprietors Bar and Table and began by toasting the couple who then drank from a German bridal cup, an heirloom from Blair’s family. The groom drinks from the large cup and the bride from the small. Whoever finishes first gets to rule the household for the rest of the marriage! I think you can guess who won. It was great to finish my wedding season with a wonderful wedding and such a sweet couple.
